Kudremukh National Park has thousands of small streams, shola grasslands and large patches of shola forests, which provide natural habitat for a wide range of wild animals - Tiger, Leopard, Dhole, Gaur, Sambar, Wild Pig, Muntjac, Macaque, and Langur. Kudremukh Trek

Kudremukh Trek is a must do for its prestine streams, lush green landscapes of grasslands and thick Shola forests. The most popular Kudremukh Trek is the one to the Kudremukh Peak.

Kudremukh Trek Distance: 22 kms total, 11 kms one way from Mullodi.

Kudremukh Trek Starting Point: Samse (between Kalsa and Kudremukh Towns). A steep uphill of 6 kms will take you to Mullodi. A 4X4 jeep ride can also take you to Mullodi from Samse for Rs.500-750.

Kudremukh Trek Camping: Camping is not allowed on Kudremukh Peak, will have to return to base the same day.

Kudremukh Trek Permit: Kudremukh Trek needs a permit, which is issued at Forest Department, Kudremukh town.
